Because of Firestone's proximity to Highway 119 and resident's frequent use of this highway, the Town of Firestone wanted to provide an update on this project with links for more information. Zip Code 101
Residents of Firestone may often wonder why there are different zip codes throughout the community. Zip codes are set by the United States Postal Service as mail delivery service areas. View a map of zip codes in the Firestone area. Here are some facts according to
  • Zip codes do NOT always follow city boundaries.
  • Zip codes are mail delivery service areas.
  • Your zip code is NOT based on what city you live in.
  • The primary city name assigned to your zip code is based on the location of the post office facility that delivers mail to you. It may not be the actual city you live in.
  • The U.S. Post Office allows you to use the name of the city you actually live in for the mailing address of your home or business. So in the case of Firestone, residents who live in the 80504 should use Firestone, CO 80504 in their address.
  • Zip code 80520 serves all of Historic Firestone homes and has mail delivered to post office boxes at the Firestone Post Office.
  • Zip code 80504 is located in Colorado and covers a slightly larger than average land area compared to other zip codes in the United States. It serves residents in Firestone, Longmont, Frederick and Niwot.
