Economic & Business Development Committee
Overview
The Economic and Business Development Committee serves as an advisory committee of the Board of Trustees. It consists of four members: the mayor, a trustee, the town manager and town planner. The trustee member is appointed at a public meeting. The mayor, Town Manager and Town Planner shall serve ex officio, while the trustee is appointed to a two-year term.

The committee’s goals include:
  • Facilitate economic and business development initiatives in Firestone.
  • Review proposed business incentives related to business retention and development.
  • Provide input on proposed programs related to business retention and development.
  • Improve communications between the Town of Firestone and the local business community.
  • Share insights regarding local economic conditions.
  • Serve as a sounding board for Town proposals that could impact local businesses.
  • Gather information regarding the needs and priorities of businesses with respect to business retention and development issues.
  • Represent the Town of Firestone to business interests, including participation in economic development functions, chamber of commerce outreaches, real estate functions, retail trade shows, etc.
