Volunteer Opportunities
volunteerVolunteering offers a great deal of satisfaction and a chance to give back to the community. The Town of Firestone offers numerous special events that volunteers may be involved in for varying time commitments. Please fill out an application and waiver, and indicate what you are interested in helping out with. Please note that all volunteers must be 14 years of age or older.


Volunteers are needed for (in order of dates for the year):

Meet & Greet - March 24, 2016, Coal Ridge Middle School, 6201 Booth Drive
Volunteers needed from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximately Number of Volunteers Needed: 5-10
Needs: setup, food serving, clean up

Community Softball Tournament
- June 4, 2016, Firestone Regional Sports Complex, 6850 Tilbury Ave.
Volunteers needed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximately Number of Volunteers Needed: 10-15
Needs: pre-event poster distribution, team registration, scorekeepers, timekeeper, clean up

United Way Day of Action
- June 18, 2016, Park & Ride, I-25 & Firestone Boulevard
Volunteers needed from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Approximately Number of Volunteers Needed: 30+
We've been selected as a project site for the annual United Way Day of Action event. We'll be cleaning up trash at the I-25 and Firestone Boulevard intersection to keep our community clean!
You can sign up directly through United Way, but the Town of Firestone will also require you to fill out our waiver at the top of this page.

4th at Firestone - July 4, 2016, Miners Park, 226 Grant Ave.
Volunteers needed from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximately Number of Volunteers Needed: 50
Needs: pre-event poster distribution, setup and decorating, vendor set up and support, snow cone operation, games, Town booth, car show assistance, parade lineup, parade traffic assistance, parade and car show judges, clean up

National Night Out - Aug. 2, 2016, Settlers Park, 11447 Deerfield Drive
Volunteers needed from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Approximate Number of Volunteers Needed: 5-10

Needs: setup, monitoring inflatable, ice cream serving, games, clean up

Halloween Safe Night - Oct. 28, 2016, Firestone Regional Sports Complex, 6850 Tilbury Ave.
Volunteers needed from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximately Number of Volunteers Needed: 15-30
Needs: stuffing treat and safety bags, setup and decorating, game monitoring, clean up

Carbon Valley Holiday Festival - Dec. 3, 2016, Coal Ridge Middle School, 6201 Booth Drive
Volunteers needed from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximately Number of Volunteers Needed: 30
Needs: pre-event poster distribution, setup and decorating, craft booths, Santa, hot cocoa and cookies, clean up

Santa Cops - TBD
Needs: shopping assistance, wrapping gifts, sorting gifts
