Volunteer Opportunities
volunteerVolunteering offers a great deal of satisfaction and a chance to give back to the community. The Town of Firestone offers numerous special events that volunteers may be involved in for varying time commitments. Please fill out an application and waiver, and indicate what you are interested in helping out with. Please note that all volunteers must be 14 years of age or older.


Volunteers are needed for (in order of dates for the year):

Meet & Greet - March 9, 2017, Coal Ridge Middle School, 6201 Booth Drive
Volunteers needed from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximate Number of Volunteers Needed: 5-10
Needs: setup, food serving, clean up

Food & Flick Friday - Various dates
June 2, June 16, June 23, July 14, July 28, Aug. 4, 2017
Volunteers needed from 7 to 11 p.m.
Approximate Number of Volunteers Needed: 1-2 per event
Needs: Cleaning up the park, loading supplies

4th at Firestone - July 4, 2017, Miners Park, 226 Grant Ave.
Volunteers needed from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximate Number of Volunteers Needed: 50
Needs: setup and decorating, vendor set up and support, snow cone operation, games, Town booth, car show assistance, parade lineup, parade traffic assistance, parade and car show judges, clean up

National Night Out - Aug. 1, 2017, Hart Park, 467 Jackson Ave.
Volunteers needed from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Approximate Number of Volunteers Needed: 5-10

Needs: setup, serving ice cream, games, clean up

Halloween Safe Night - Oct. 27, 2017, Firestone Regional Sports Complex, 6850 Tilbury Ave.
Volunteers needed from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximate Number of Volunteers Needed: 20-30
Needs: stuffing treat and safety bags, setup and decorating, game monitoring, clean up

Carbon Valley Holiday Festival - Dec. 3, 2016, Coal Ridge Middle School, 6201 Booth Drive
Volunteers needed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (various shifts)
Approximate Number of Volunteers Needed: 30
Needs: setup and decorating, craft booths, Santa, hot cocoa and cookies, clean up

Santa Cops - ALL VOLUNTEER NEEDS ARE FILLED FOR 2016 - THANK YOU!
Wrapping Dec. 10, 9 a.m., Town Hall, 151 Grant Ave.
Needs: wrapping and sorting gifts
