About the Event

The 4th at Firestone has become not only Firestone’s premier annual community event but also a regional attraction to celebrate America’s birthday. This event has continued to increase in participation, drawing thousands of people to Firestone for family-oriented fun and entertainment throughout the day.

Parade

The parade weaves its way from Thunder Valley K-8 through Historic Firestone to Miners Park for the celebration. Floats, decorated vehicle displays, marching bands, classic cars, motorcycles and more will compile a parade lineup that residents and festival attendees will not want to miss. This is the perfect time for people to show their American pride by lining the streets in celebration. 

All parade entries are free of charge, but an application must be submitted.  Parade application deadline is Friday, June 14, 2019, no later than 5:00 p.m.  Complete the online application here.

Day Event

The festival will include a showcase of business, children-oriented, food, and nonprofit vendors/booths. 

Free activities will include a climbing wall, bungee trampoline, inflatable jumps, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, horseshoes, games and more! 

Another highlight of the event for the holiday will include the presentation of the colors by the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District Color Guard and recognition of local veterans. Outstanding live entertainment throughout the day will include a mix of music.

Evening Event

The 4th at Firestone evening event has all kinds of fun, games and music at Central Park. Don't miss a spectacular fireworks display to wrap up a great day of celebration. Sponsorship, Vendor  & Performance Information

Sponsorship

Supporting Firestone community events through a sponsorship not only allows businesses and organizations to gain regional visibility, but it strengthens community relations and allows the event to flourish.  The 4th at Firestone has many event sponsorship opportunities available, including direct activity sponsorships. More information will be available soon!  

Performances

The 4th at Firestone celebration allows local groups to perform for attendees. Performances are limited to 10 minutes and music must be provided to stage and sound crew.  There is no charge for performances, but applications must be submitted.  The performance application deadline is Friday, June 7, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.  Complete the application online here.  

Classic Car Show

The Classic Car Show is an opportunity for car and hot rod fanatics to display their ride and share it with thousands of festival attendees. The Classic Car Show will be held at the Carbon Valley Midas, 8100 Colorado Blvd.

  • Pre-1990 makes and models allowed. 
  • No commercial advertising allowed. 
  • No entry fee. 

Classic Car Show participants are also encouraged to enter the parade free of charge and join the car show as soon as the parade is complete. Application deadline is Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.  Complete an online application here.  

Vendors

Businesses, organizations, and nonprofits gain exposure and customer connections by having a booth at the event. The main vendor event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Vendor application deadline is Friday, June 7, 2019, no later than 5:00 p.m. Complete the online vendor application here.  

Day Event - Food Vendors

LIMITED AVAILABILITY! Food vendors will be limited to the first 8 vendors to sign up with a completed application and paid the vendor fee. Food vendor specialties will also be limited and determined by the Events & Programming Coordinator, such as no more than one kettle corn vendor. Please note that the Town of Firestone offers up to 2,000 free snow cones to attendees.

Evening Event - Food Vendors

LIMITED AVAILABILITY! Up to 5 food vendors can apply for the Evening Event and Fireworks Show in Central Park. Food vendors will be limited and determined by the Events & Programming Coordinator. Please select the box on the application to be considered.

Food vendors must submit the following licenses and applications:

  • Weld County Department of Public Health & Environment - Temporary Event Abbreviated Vendor Application.  For vendors licensed in Weld County in 2018 or vendors not requiring a license (i.e., cottage food, non-profit, licensed mobile unit, etc.), please complete one of the following:
  • Weld County Department of Public Health & Environment - Temporary Event Full Vendor Application. For vendors not licensed by Weld County in 2018, please complete one of the following:
  • Copy of the vendor’s Colorado Retail Food Establishment License
  • Copy of the vendor's Colorado sales tax license
