Spotlight_2019MosquitoControl

The Town of Firestone’s Public Works Department will provide the Town’s mosquito surveillance and control activities for the 2019 season. Mosquito Control Schedule

The Town generally sprays between 8:30 - 10:00 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays (weather permitting) at the height of mosquito activity, in order to eliminate a larger population of mosquitos. In 2019, weekly Mosquito spraying will begin on Thursday, June 13.

Which Chemicals are Used for Spraying?

  • Mosquito Adulticides: Anvil 2 + 2 ULV, Biomist 3 + 15 ULV
  • Mosquito Larvicides: VectoBac CG, Altosid XR, VectoLex CG
