Town Facilities to Close

The Town of Firestone is closely monitoring the news about Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and understands the concern community members may have.  We affirm our commitment to protecting the health and safety of residents and employees, while still providing services to the public.  It’s our #1 priority.

While we are committed to providing uninterrupted services to the community, we have to follow the advice and direction from the White House, the State of Colorado, Weld County, and numerous public health agencies.  It is strongly recommended that to help slow the spread of COVID-19, protect vulnerable populations, and reduce the strain on our healthcare systems, that Town facilities should close to the public. This closure impacts Town Hall, the Police Department and Public Works.  We view this as an absolute last resort, but a necessary step nonetheless.
 
The Town will continue to provide essential services to the community, including public safety, water utilities and emergency response services.  Many employees are working remotely and by utilizing technology we are able to continue operating. 

• Utility Billing: Visit www.firestoneco.gov/water for access to pay your bill online or you can call 1-855-546-7605 to pay your bill directly.  Additionally, the secure drop-box is available outside of Town Hall and payments dropped will be processed.  If you have questions, please email water@firestoneco.gov. 
  
  
• Building Permits & Planning: For updated information on the building permit process, scheduled inspections, planning and contact information, please visit www.firestoneco.gov/planning.
  
  
• Police & Municipal Court: Online payment for a court or traffic ticket can be made here.  If you have questions about court or your ticket, please email courtclerk@firestoneco.gov or call 303-833-0811 ext. 3812.  The Firestone Police Department will continue to have officers on duty for their regular schedules.  If you need to contact an officer, they can be reached through Weld County Dispatch by calling the non-emergency number at 720-652-4222, or dialing 9-1-1 for an emergency.
  
  
• Election Information: Ballots for the Regular Municipal Election have been mailed, and should be arriving within 5-7 days.  Firestone voters may mail their ballots back, or drop them off in the locked Utility Drop-Box located at the front of Town Hall, off of Grant Street.  For more information about the election, visit www.firestoneco.gov/election.
  
  
• Street Services: Staff will continue to monitor Firestone streets and address any needs that arise.  Should it be necessary, snow plow crews will follow their normal procedures for snow removal operations. Visit www.firestoneco.gov/snow for more information.
  
  
• Business Support: The Town of Firestone would like to encourage the public to shop locally.  Many restaurants are offering take-out and/or delivery options.  Visit the Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page for links and more information.  Business owners are encouraged to view a variety of resources complied by the Town’s Economic Development staff for assistance during this time.
