New Crosswalk at Firestone Post Office

The Town of Firestone Public Works Department recently installed a new button-activated crosswalk and associated signs in front of the Firestone Post Office on 1^st Street.  Along with the updated crosswalk signs, no parking signs with associated curb painting were installed to ensure safety for those using the crosswalk.  Resident concerns drove this project.  Over the years, the neighbors in this area have been concerned about the crosswalk visibility.  Most recently, a neighbor came to a Board Meeting to speak during Public Comment about the safety concerns for those visiting the Post Office and requested updated signage be installed.
