Oil & Gas Activity NotificationWell Plug & Abandon Operations in Sagebrush Neighborhood The Town of Firestone has received notification from Crestone Peak Resources (a wholly owned subsidiary of Civitas Resources) that they intend to remediate, plug and abandon (P&A) three oil and gas wellborers located in the Sagebrush neighborhood. These wells, Wandell 32-7, 33-7, and 43-7, are located east of Echo Street and west of Sunburst Avenue. According to Crestone, there will be sound walls, and a workover rig on-site, and they will use the existing access roads. Operational hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. It is anticipated that this work will take approximately 8 months.
After the P&A's are completed, Crestone will remove debris and fencing installed and will perform final reclamation on the land around the wells by removing any road base and bringing in topsoil as needed to restore the area to its original condition. Any residents who have questions about this work are asked to contact Crestone's Community Relations at 720-279-9842 or email communitrelations@civiresources.com.
