Water Project Updates

In separate actions, there were five agreements approved during Wednesday night’s meeting that deal with water projects that are all outlined in the 2020-2050 Water Action Plan that was adopted on March 25, 2020.  The actions approved include:

• Construction services contract, construction management services contract, and geotechnical engineering services contract for the Firestone Reservoir No. 1 Supply and Delivery Infrastructure Project.
  
  
• Construction services contract for the next element of construction in the Gould Alluvial Well System with the Horizontal Well.  It is anticipated that this work will begin in January of 2021.
  
• Due to funding sources, the construction of the St. Vrain Water Treatment Plant was broken up into two phases.  Part 2A, the first phase has begun.  The agreement approved during Wednesday night’s meeting was to begin Part 2B, which includes all of the outstanding project elements that are described as the buildings, treatment process equipment, pumping systems, instrumentation, and tanks. 

Holiday Meeting Schedule Updates

Due to upcoming holiday schedules, the Town of Firestone Board of Trustees has canceled the November 11, November 25 and December 23 regularly scheduled meetings.  Due to these cancelations, the Board of Trustees will meet in a Special Meeting on Wednesday, November 18.  To view all upcoming meetings, posted agendas and past meeting minutes, visit the online Agenda Center.
