Small Business Relief Program
A resolution was approved on Wednesday night by the Board of Trustees for the Small Business Relief Fund allocation to Firestone businesses.
In January, the Town of Firestone applied to the State of Colorado’s Small Business Relief (SBR) Program and was notified that it had received funding to administer the program to Firestone businesses. The State of Colorado set the regulations for the SBR Program on what small businesses are eligible. Funding was available to Firestone businesses in the restaurant, caterer, bar, gym, and movie theatre industry that have suffered at least a 20% reduction in profits during the pandemic.
The application period was open from January 12 to February 2, 2021, per the State's conditions of the program. Eleven Firestone businesses applied and all were determined to be qualified for the program, these include eight restaurants, one bar, one caterer, and one fitness facility. The amount each business qualified for was based on their revenue levels. The eleven businesses qualified for a combined total of $53,500 in relief.
