More Information
The purpose of the 2019 Feasibility Study was to determine how best to meet the needs of the growing population the District serves, including Dacono, Firestone, Frederick, and the rural surrounding communities. In the last 10 years the population has grown significantly, a trend that's projected to continue, straining demand within the 45-mile geographic area the District serves.
The top three priorities that residents and stakeholders identified as part of the Feasibility Study's community engagement process include:
A new outdoor pool and water park with a full-service recreation center encompassing 32,000 SQ FT located at Central Park, next to the library.
A new 1,000 SQ FT senior / older adult fitness room next to the lounge at the existing senior center in Frederick
Athletic fields with restrooms and concessions to accommodate tournaments, in addition to tennis and pickleball courts, located at Central Park (next to the library).
