Firestone Announces the Appointment of Acting Chief of Police

Deputy Chief Bryce Borders has been appointed to serve as Acting Chief of Police for the Town of Firestone. His appointment follows the recent retirement announcement by Chief David Montgomery.
 
Borders is a twenty-year veteran of the Firestone Police Department.  The Town of Firestone is confident that Chief Borders will serve the department and community well in this capacity.  As Acting Chief of Police, Borders will be responsible for planning, directing, managing, and overseeing the activities and daily operations of the entire Police Department.

“During this time of transition, I will continue to work collaboratively with the Command Staff to ensure that public safety remains the top priority within the Firestone Police Department,” said Acting Chief Borders.  “I appreciate the continued support from the community and look forward to ensuring a smooth transition for the next leader of the Firestone Police Department.”
