Snow Shifts for
Thursday, January 27th
With a snowstorm predicted tonight, the Town of Firestone Public Works will have staff on snow shifts starting at 4:00 a.m., with three tandem trucks for arterial roads and two 550 trucks for collector roads. Staff will run eight-hour shifts will continue until the snow event is over. Parks Division will begin at 6:00 a.m. to address facilities, schools zones, parks, and trails.

Move Vehicles from Snow Routes: Help the Town in its snow removal operations by moving vehicles from priority snow routes.
Give Snow Plows Plenty of Room to Work: The Firestone Public Works snow plow team will work efficiently to clear roadways of snow for safe passage. If you meet a snowplow on the roads, please use caution and maintain a safe distance between your vehicle and the plow.
Snow Buddies: If you're age 60+ and are unable to shovel your driveway and sidewalks after a snowstorm, the Carbon Valley Parks & Recreation District has a Snow Buddies program that will find a community volunteer to shovel for you. This program is always looking for volunteers to help. Find more information about the program here.
