Reminders & Resources
Move Vehicles from Snow Routes: Help the Town in its snow removal operations by moving vehicles from priority snow routes.
- Give Snow Plows Plenty of Room to Work: The Firestone Public Works snow plow team will work efficiently to clear roadways of snow for safe passage. If you meet a snowplow on the roads, please use caution and maintain a safe distance between your vehicle and the plow.
- Shoveling at Home: Residents are reminded to not shovel their driveways and sidewalks into the street. This tip will help keep the gutters from backing up and causing ice concerns near the storm drains.
Snow Buddies: If you're age 60+ and are unable to shovel your driveway and sidewalks after a snowstorm, the Carbon Valley Parks & Recreation District has a Snow Buddies program that will find a community volunteer to shovel for you. This program is always looking for volunteers to help. Find more information about the program here.
