Road Closures for Sanitary Sewer Main Line Construction
Frontier Street (CR 15) & Grant Avenue
Beginning Monday, March 7, 2022, a contractor working for St. Vrain Sanitation District will begin constructing a sanitary sewer main between Grant Avenue and Fraser Street on Frontier Street (CR 15). For this project to be completed safely and with minimal delays this work will be performed in two (2) phases involving the following road closures:
Phase 1: March 7 – April 11 (Approximately 6 weeks)
This work will require a full closure of:
- Grant Avenue between 4th Street and County Road 17, and
- Frontier Street (CR 15), from Grant Avenue to Fraser Street
These closures will remain in place until the work is completed. Residents of Sherilynn Circle and residents with access off of Grant Avenue after 4th Street will have their access maintained throughout construction.
Phase 2: April 11 – May 30 (Approximately 7 weeks)
When the work in the intersection at Grant Avenue and Frontier Street (CR 15) is completed and has progressed to the south side of the intersection, Grant Avenue will reopen for use. Frontier Street (CR 15) will remain closed, south of Grant Avenue to Fraser Street until the work in Phase 2 is completed.
The work is expected to finish per the schedule given above, but time frames and dates are subject to change due to weather and other unanticipated delays. Updates to these closures will be given prior to the start of each phase if date or time frame changes occur.
Traffic control signage will be in place to delineate the detour routes for both phases.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention to traffic control signs, reduce speeds and, if possible, avoid the construction area.
