Waterline Replacement Project Begins Next Week
Beginning the week of August 22, 2022, the contractor working on the Historic Firestone Waterline and Street Replacement, Northern Colorado Constructors, will begin staging and starting pre-construction activities for Project #1. The contractor will utilize the vacant area around the former Town Hall building at 151 Grant Avenue for their equipment and material staging area.
Project #1 includes:
- Wooster Drive and Jackson Drive waterline replacement and full street reconstruction. Wooster Drive and Jackson Drive were selected as these are two of the worst-rated roads in the Town and have shallow and undersized water mains.
- Waterline replacement in the alley north of Wooster Drive.
- Replacing all service lines serving residences along Wooster Drive and Jackson Drive.
Substantial road construction and waterline installation is anticipated to start on September 1, 2022, on Jackson Drive and at the end of September for Wooster Drive. The contractor is required to distribute information to impacted residences before construction with the most current construction dates that will affect them. Work on this project is expected to last through November, weather permitting.
