Purchase or Renew Your Animal License Today!
Firestone residents who own dogs and cats must license them annually through the Firestone Police Department. All pets must have current proof of rabies vaccination before a license will be issued.
The Firestone Police Department has partnered with PetHub, an effective, comprehensive and affordable 24/7 pet recovery system available without microchips. Ninety-six percent of recovered pets are returned home within 24 hours.
Pet licenses have the Town’s logo on one side and a QR code scanner on the other. Once residents receive their pet’s tag all they have to do it visit www.PetHub.com to fill out the free profile and activate the QR tag. Then, if a pet is found by a police officer or resident they can simply scan the tag with a QR scanner on their cellular phone or enter it online and receive the owner's name and phone number to return the pet safely home. Additionally, once the tag is scanned, PetHub sends an email to the owner notifying them that the tag has been scanned. There is no additional cost for this new service, unless residents choose to sign up for PetHub’s premium service.
Costs
Costs for licenses are $5 for spayed and neutered pets and $10 for unaltered pets. Licenses expire on December 31 of each year and must be renewed annually. Licenses that are purchased between now and the end of the year will expire on December 31, 2023.
