Thank You, Veterans!
In observance of Veterans Day tomorrow, we would like to recognize and honor the heroes on the Firestone team who have served:
- Thirteen percent of our workforce served in some capacity of the armed forces, with fifteen veterans currently employed as Town staff. In addition, we want to recognize that one of our Board of Trustees has also served.
- Our veterans now serve the community through our Police Department, Public Works, and Neighborhood Services/Economic Development Department.
- Representation from the following US Military Branches: Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, and National Guard make up this elite group of sixteen veterans.
- Last night, the Board of Trustees recognized Officer Mike Ream, who recently returned home and returned to his position as Police Officer after a year long deployment. Welcome home!
Our gratitude for your exemplary service and sacrifices made on our behalf is recognized today and every day. Thank you to all of our veterans and all of the veterans who live in Firestone on this special Veterans Day.
