Neighborhood Concrete Work
in Historic Firestone & Oak Meadows
Last week, the Department of Public Works was in Historic Firestone, at the intersection of Second Street & Berwick Avenue, replacing the cross pans and ADA ramps on the sidewalks. That work has been completed, but some of the asphalt in the area needs to be repaved. That work will be completed by the end of this week. This work will require intermittent lane closures.
Beginning on Tuesday, November 15, the Department of Public Works will be in the Oak Meadows neighborhood to replace cross pans and ADA ramps on the sidewalks at the intersection of Dover Street and Deerfield Street. The work will require the intersection to remain closed throughout the week. Access to the residences in the area will all remain open, with detour routes around the closure.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are urged to pay close attention while traveling through the work areas and be prepared for slight delays. Please abide by all posted traffic control signs, and if possible, avoid the work areas.
