Water Update from the 

Town of Firestone 

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, the Firestone Public Works Department received two calls from residents in Neighbors Point concerned about the smell of their water. The initial indications were that the smell reported was due to a natural gas leak that Black Hills Energy fixed on the same day. Out of an abundance of caution, the Town of Firestone requested that the Weld County Department of Public Health and Colorado Analytical (a third-party water quality testing facility) do further water quality testing to rule out any other problems. 

The Town of Firestone has received notification from Weld County Department of Public Health and Colorado Analytical that the water samples tested came back clear. There is no indication of any water quality issues.
