Firestone Police Department

Due to numerous resident inquiries about police activity last weekend, the Firestone Police Department is sharing an update for the community.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Firestone officers were dispatched to the 10200 block of Falcon Street in reference to an emergency medical call.  On arrival, officers and paramedics encountered a male party and attempted lifesaving measures but were unsuccessful. 

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined the male party was involved in a traffic crash outside of Firestone town limits in Weld County.  Due to the location of the traffic crash occurring outside the Town limits, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office has taken over as the lead investigating agency.  The Firestone Police Department is working with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a complete and thorough investigation.  

The Firestone Police Department would like to reassure community members that there is no threat related to this incident.
