National Public Works Week

National Public Works Week Proclamation

During Wednesday night's meeting, Mayor Conyac read a proclamation declaring National Public Works Week as May 19-25, 2024. Since 1960, the American Public Works Association (APWA) has sponsored National Public Works Week as a public education campaign to call attention to the importance of public works in community life.

The 2024 theme of National Public Works Week, "Advancing Quality of Life for All," shines a spotlight on how public works professionals advance our quality of life and often do so behind the scenes without much recognition. Here at Firestone, the Public Works employees are at the heart of our community, and we are continually grateful for the great work they do!
