Historic Firestone Waterline & Roadway Replacement Project Update
Update May 20, 2024 - Beginning Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., water will be shut off to allow for a new waterline tie-in in the alley west of 4th Street between Florence Ave. and McClure Ave. Residents along 4th Street that will be impacted will receive a door hanger with more information. Representatives from DeFalco Construction and the Town of Firestone will be onsite throughout the day to answer any questions.
Sent April 3, 2024 - Beginning Monday, April 8, 2024, Defalco Construction will begin work on Historic Firestone Waterline and Roadway Replacement Phase 2 - Project #2.
Work will start on 4th Street, 1st Street, and Florence Court and will move to 2nd Street and 3rd Street, accordingly. The schedule is subject to change and any major changes to the schedule will be shared with the community. Weather permitting, regular work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the project should be completed by Fall 2024.
Residents who will be impacted by the work will receive door hanger notices from the contractor with specific timing for the work on their street.
Motorists are urged to pay close attention while driving through the work area and be prepared for slight delays. While on 4th Street and 1st Street, be aware that there will be multiple lane shifts at both intersections during construction. Please abide by all posted traffic control signs, reduce speeds in the work zone, and avoid the work area if possible.
