We Need Your Help – Vandalism in Firestone Parks

Over the past week, several acts of vandalism have been reported in our parks, from graffiti to damage in the bathrooms. As a result, the bathrooms at Onorato Park are now closed until further notice.

These parks are built for everyone to enjoy, families, kids, neighbors, and visitors, and our staff takes great pride in maintaining them.  It’s disheartening to see them treated in this way.

We’re asking you to help us protect these spaces. The Firestone Police Department will continue to increase patrols in key areas, but we can’t do it alone. We need the public’s eyes and ears. If you see something suspicious or out of place, please don’t hesitate to report it. Reminder, all parks close one hour after sunset and reopen one hour before sunrise.

Contacting the non-emergency dispatch number (720-652-4222) is the best way to report anything suspicious.

Please don’t assume someone else has called. Even if it seems small, reporting suspicious activity can make a big difference. And while we know social media is a common way to share concerns, we simply cannot monitor it around the clock. Direct reports help us respond faster and more effectively.

Let’s work together to care for the places that make Firestone feel like home.
