Prairie Ridge Park 
Playground Replacement Project

The Firestone Parks Division will close the playground at Prairie Ridge Park (6440 St. Vrain Ranch Blvd.) and start the replacement project next week, September 22, 2025. The work is expected to take 4-6 weeks, and the playground will reopen once it is finished.

All of the playground equipment at Prairie Ridge Park will be replaced, as the current structures have outlived their lifespan. Installed during the park's original development in the early 2000s, the aging equipment no longer meets modern safety and accessibility standards.

As part of the upgrade, a poured-in-place rubber surface will be installed beneath the new equipment. This feature will improve accessibility for people with disabilities, making the playground inclusive and welcoming for all community members.
