Firestone Businesses Have Access to Free and Low-Cost Business Resources The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Serving East Colorado, in collaboration with the Town of Firestone, the Town of Frederick, the City of Dacono, and the Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce, is launching its 2026 programming to support local entrepreneurs and businesses. This shared effort is focused on strengthening the Carbon Valley’s business community.
As part of this effort, the SBDC Satellite Office will provide direct access to confidential, no-cost, one-on-one business advising. Office hours will be held every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Local Business Collaborative building located at 501 Walnut Street in Frederick. In addition to in-person hours, clients will have access to the SBDC advising team through virtual appointments. They will gain access to a vetted network of community partners and trusted resources, helping secure the right connections in the community. Firestone business owners have already benefited from SBDC advising. One local client shared, “My advisor was very patient and comes to where I am in my experiences with business. I’m excited to continue learning.” Along with the business advising, participants are encouraged to attend any of the events or classes listed on the SBDC website. Local in-person events will be offered throughout the year, and the Town of Firestone will promote upcoming events on its LinkedIn page. Businesses may also sign up for the SBDC’s monthly newsletter to stay informed. Those interested in learning more may visit https://sbdc.colorado.gov/east Jaydon Rice, Interim Director of the Colorado SBDC Serving East CO, emphasized the value of the partnership, stating, “The SBDC is excited to embark on this next chapter in the Carbon Valley through the collaborative efforts of the Town of Firestone, the Town of Frederick, the City of Dacono, the Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Local Business Collaborative. It is only through the support of these local partners that the SBDC can continue offering free and low-cost resources to small businesses, and 2026 brings many new opportunities for the region.”
