July 4th, 2020 | 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. | Miners Park, 170 Grant Ave., Firestone
Food Vendor Application Deadline: Friday, June 5, 2020, no later than 5:00 p.m.
Please be specific as possible as we want to ensure variety and success of our vendors. The Town of Firestone reserves the right to approve or deny applications, and to make the final determination of participation to limit potential overlap of vendors. If your application is not approved, your fee will be refunded.
Food vendors will be limited to the first 12 vendors to sign up with a completed application and paid vendor fee. Food vendors specialties will also be limited and determined by the Events & Programming Coordinator, such as no more than one Kettle Corn vendor.
Please call or email the Events & Programming Coordinator prior to filling out your application to verify available food vendor openings.
Food Vendors must submit:
Town of Firestone businesses must have a current business license. Transient merchants (out-of-town) must have a current business license, but are not charged a separate business license or sales tax license fee for Town-sponsored one-day events provided they have submitted a completed vendor application and paid the vendor fee.
Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting all applicable sales tax to the state.
Vendor spaces are not insured by the Town of Firestone. All vendors are to provide a Certificate of Insurance to the Town of Firestone.
PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THESE CHANGES FOR 2020
Staged setup for vendors will occur between 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. depending on your time needed. All vendors must be set up by 3:45 p.m. Vendors may not tear down booths before 9:30 p.m. At and after 9:30 p.m., vendors may breakdown their areas and cart their belongings to their vehicles. VEHICLES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE EVENT AREA UNTIL AFTER 10:00 P.M. All vendors must be packed up and ready to disperse by 10:30 p.m.
The Town of Firestone accepts cash, check and credit card payments. Credit card payments for vendor spaces are encouraged to be made online here or in person at the Firestone Town Hall building, located at 151 Grant Avenue, Firestone.
Vendors will be emailed a site plan with set-up information by Monday, June 15, 2020. Site plans will also be available on event day. Vendors are responsible for bringing their own equipment (canopies, tables, chairs and materials), and are REQUIRED to bring weights (bricks or sandbags) being a minimum of 20 LBS. per weight, for canopies in case of high winds. Failure to do so may result in a fine issued by the Frederick Firestone Fire Protection District and/or the Firestone Police Department. Vendor space assignments will be drawn at random by the Events & Programming Coordinator. The Town of Firestone reserves the right to change site locations and dimensions due to event logistics.
Please know that communication about all event participation is primarily done through email. Please acknowledge that the following 3 email addresses will be delivering important event participation information to me:
We strongly recommend you save the 3 email addresses above to my email address book to alleviate the possibility of important event information getting pushed to a SPAM folder.
