4th at Firestone
Saturday, July 4th -- 6:30-10 p.m.
While this summer is undoubtedly different, the Town of Firestone is excited to celebrate Independence Day this Saturday! There will not be a parade or any of the usual activities during the day, but there will be an excellent fireworks show. Fireworks are moving back to Saddleback Golf Course and will be shot-off just north of the 15th hole. Below are details on what the Town of Firestone will be doing to help ensure a safe and enjoyable evening. The Town encourages everyone to continue to use safe social distancing, and practice other precautions that have been recommended by the CDC, State of Colorado and Weld County.
PARKING
The Town of Firestone will have parking available for an excellent view of the fireworks show at the property that surrounds Town Hall. The parking lot will open at 6:30 p.m. The entrance to the parking lot is off of 1st Street, north of Town Hall. View a detailed map, with entry and exit directions here. Follow the parking attendants for guidance once you have entered the lot. There are 20 ADA parking spaces available. You must have a mirror tag or license plates to park in those spaces.
We ask that everyone be respectful of rules posted, including no fireworks of any kind, no alcohol permitted on the property and as a reminder, please leave your dogs at home.
If you do need to drive to view the show but aren't comfortable at the Town's parking lot, please be aware of all parking regulations within the Town of Firestone and any neighboring municipalities. We ask that you do not block neighbors' driveways and do not park in no-parking zones.
FOOD TRUCKS
Food Trucks will be available in the Town Hall parking lot beginning at 6:30 p.m. To discourage crowds and to provide for no contact payment options, all food vendors will have alternative ordering options. Links and more information on each food truck can be found here.
FIREWORKS
Fireworks will be shot-off just north of the 15th hole at Saddleback Golf Course. The show is expected to start around 9:30 p.m. Should there be any weather delays, announcements will be posted on the Facebook Event.
To protect the property and everyone in attendance, fireworks of any kind, will not be allowed in the parking lot. Additionally, the Firestone Police Department will be enforcing local fireworks laws throughout the holiday weekend. As a reminder, an illegal firework is any firework that explodes or leaves the ground or both.
REMINDERS
Everyone in attendance should continue to use safe social distancing, and practice other precautions that have been recommended by the CDC, State of Colorado and Weld County. If you or anyone in your family has felt sick or has been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you stay home.
