Firestone Board Hosts Open House
& Seeks Volunteers
The Board of Trustees is looking for volunteers to serve on various boards, commissions and committees. Serving the Town is an excellent way to become active in the decision-making process of Town government and give back to your community. Firestone residents are invited to an open house on Wednesday, August 19th from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. to learn about the volunteer opportunities and talk to Board members and staff about each group.
Boards, commissions and committees work together with staff to make recommendations to the Town Board of Trustees on matters related to their area of responsibility. Each group has specific responsibilities allowing residents an opportunity to provide expertise in areas of individual interest. All positions are voluntary and vary in length of terms and time commitments. The Board of Trustees is looking for volunteers to serve on the following:
All volunteers must be residents of the Town, and anyone who wishes to serve for final decision-making boards cannot have a financial interest in a contract with the Town.

Time: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
The public is invited to a Board & Commission Open House to learn about all open volunteer positions. Board Members and staff will be available to answers questions.

Those who are interested in volunteering must complete an application online here. The application deadline is August 31st. The Board of Trustees will review candidate applications and, upon approval, will formally appoint individuals at a regularly scheduled Town Board meeting.
