Town of Firestone Celebrates Building Safety Month
During the month of May, the Town of Firestone will be celebrating Building Safety Month. During this campaign, we will focus on sharing tips and resources for the entire community to ensure we have safe and sustainable structures where we live, work and play here in Firestone.
In Firestone, the Building Division provides services to individuals planning improvements to their properties by reviewing construction plans, issuing permits, performing inspections, and enforcing ordinances that ensure safe buildings and a healthy environment. The division also manages the licensing of contractors and trades.
All communities need building codes to protect their citizens from disasters like fires, weather-related events, and structural collapse. Building codes are society's best way of protecting homes, offices, schools, manufacturing facilities, stores, and entertainment venues. Building Inspectors work day in and day out to keep the public safe.
Over the next month, we will be sharing resources for the community to learn about indoor and outdoor safety for their home or business.
