Booth Farms Rezoning

After a Public Hearing, the Board of Trustees approved Ordinance 1032 to rezone the Lot 1 Booth Farms property. This property is located on the northeast corner of Colorado Boulevard and Booth Drive. The original zoning of the property included PUD R-C (high-density residential) for 17.89 acres and NC (Neighborhood Center) commercial for 1.67 acres. The approved rezoning was only for the 1.67 acres and removed the NC zoning distinction and added the R-C (high-density residential). Now the entirety of the property has the same zoning, which is consistent with the 2013 Firestone Master Plan, where the future land uses on the property are shown as R-H (Residential High).

Roofing Contract Approved for Public Works Facility

The Board of Trustees approved a contract with Brahma Roofing and Construction LLC to complete the Public Works Building Roofing Project.  In 2022, the Town of Firestone completed an expansion and remodel of the Public Works facility that consisted of 8,000sf of shop area to the south of the existing building and reconfiguring the existing office and restroom area but did not make any improvements or additions to the building's original roof.  This project will add a new metal roof to the original building, including new gutters and downspouts.  In addition, the project includes adding snow guard materials to the entire building, including the wash bay. Work is expected to begin on this project in late August.
