Below are common questions and answers about the upcoming municipal election: 

WHEN IS ELECTION DAY?
Tuesday, April 2, 2024

HOW CAN I LEARN ABOUT THE CANDIDATES?
The Town of Firestone invited all eligible candidates to complete a Candidate Profile. All profiles received have been posted online for voters to review. The profiles received have not been edited. 

WHEN DOES MY BALLOT NEED TO BE TURNED IN?
All ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day – Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024.  

WHERE AND HOW DO I TURN IN MY BALLOT? 
After you receive and complete your ballot, put your ballot in the provided envelope and sign it. Once you have sealed your envelope, you may mail it, drop it off, or bring it in.

• MAIL IT: Include proper postage of a first-class or forever stamp on the provided envelope and mail it.  If you have not mailed your ballot by Tuesday, March 29th, we encourage you to drop it off or bring it in. 
• DROP IT OFF: Save a stamp and drop it off at the 24-hour election drop-box inside the front doors at Town Hall at 9950 Park Ave, Firestone, CO, or at the ballot drop-off box at the Weld County Southwest Service Complex at 4209 County Road 24.5, Firestone, CO. 
• BRING IT IN: Bring your ballot to Town Hall during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and on Election Day, April 2^nd, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.  

WHAT IS THE VOTER SERVICE CENTER? WHEN IS IT OPEN?
The Firestone Town Clerk’s office is open as the Voter Service Center and is available to register eligible voters, provide ballot replacements and is open for ballot drop-off. The Town of Firestone Town Clerk’s office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Election Day, April 2^nd, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Town Clerk's office is located at Town Hall, 9550 Park Avenue. 

I’M NOT REGISTERED TO VOTE, CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE? 
Yes! Registration is open through Election Day.

Eligible residents can come to the Voter Service Center to register and receive a ballot. Or, voters can register online at www.govotecolorado.gov. If a voter registers online after ballots have been mailed out, they will need to come in person to the Voter Service Center to receive their ballot.  

WHAT IF I DIDN’T GET MY BALLOT? MY BALLOT IS DAMAGED, NOW WHAT?
Ballots were mailed the week of March 11, 2024. If you have not received your ballot, please verify that your voter registration is up to date at www.govotecolorado.gov.

Registered voters who do not receive a ballot in the mail or if their ballot is damaged may request a replacement by completing the Mail Ballot Replacement form, found here. The form can be submitted to townclerk@firestoneco.gov. After Monday, March 25^th, voters may come to Town Hall for a replacement ballot.

WHAT IF I MAKE A MISTAKE ON MY BALLOT? 
You can make the correction on your ballot and clearly indicate your choice. Election judges are trained to review every ballot to ensure your votes are counted as you intend. OR, if you prefer, you can get a replacement ballot at Town Hall starting Monday, March 25^th.

DO YOU COUNT EVERY BALLOT, OR ONLY IF THE RACE IS CLOSE? 
Your election judges count every eligible ballot and give voters every opportunity to have their vote counted accurately.
