Historic Firestone Waterline & Roadway Replacement Project
Water Service Interruption Scheduled
Water service will be temporarily shut off on Berwick Avenue, between 4th Street and 5th Street, on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The contractor has already informed all affected residents. While the shut-off is scheduled for the full 8-hour period, the contractor will work to restore water service as quickly as possible.
On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, EZ Excavating began work on the Historic Firestone Waterline and Roadway Replacement Phase 2 - Project #3.
Waterline and road work will start on Berwick Street from 1st Street to Granville Circle and move to 3rd Street between Berwick and Granville Avenue. The schedule is subject to change, and any major changes will be shared with the community. Weather permitting, regular work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the project should be completed by Summer 2025.
Residents who will be affected by the work will receive door hanger notices from the contractor with specific times for the work on their street.
Motorists are urged to pay close attention while driving through the work area and be prepared for slight delays. While on Berwick Ave, be aware that there will be multiple lane shifts during construction. Please abide by all posted traffic control signs, reduce speeds in the work zone, and avoid the work area if possible.
