Late this afternoon, the Weld County District Court granted the Town of Firestone’s request for a Temporary Restraining Order stopping the Central Weld County Water District from discontinuing water service. For now, the Court’s order prevents the District “… from shutting off water service to the Town…” and “… discontinuing deliveries of treated water to the Town…”.
The Town will continue its efforts to resolve the matter in a reasonable, mutually beneficial way, and will remain in compliance with the terms of the existing water service agreement.
