[ARCHIVED] Public Works Team Starts Meter Programming

meter upgrades

The Firestone Public Works team has started programming the water meters to have a read capability to a single gallon. Residents may notice public works members in their yards in the coming months as they complete the programming. The meters are being programmed to a single gallon to allow the new meter reading system to report hourly readings of real time usage.

The first phase includes homes in old town, Saddleback Heights and Owl Lake Estates. Future phases throughout the rest of Firestone will continue throughout the next six to eight months.

When finished, all water customers will have the ability to access their water usage through a website that will provide real time usage and will help monitor consumption and potential leaks within individual properties.
