Community Services & Code Enforcement

The Firestone Community Services Officers (CSOs) are responsible for enforcing municipal codes and addressing code-related concerns within the Town limits. These codes, adopted by the Board of Trustees, are designed to address nuisances and help maintain a safe, clean, and desirable environment for all who live, work, and visit Firestone.

CSOs are committed to partnering with residents, tenants, landlords, and business owners to ensure Firestone remains a high-quality place to live, work, and play.

In addition, the division collaborates with residents, neighborhood associations, public service agencies, and other Town departments to:

  • Encourage voluntary compliance with Town codes and regulations
  • Support community-driven solutions and self-help programs
  • Provide public outreach and educational resources
  • Help define community priorities for enforcement initiatives

Home Improvement Assistance Programs

To further support residents, Firestone offers two programs in partnership with Brothers Redevelopment, Inc.:

    • Friends of Firestone Day of Service: A one-day volunteer-driven program where local volunteers complete minor home repairs, exterior painting, and yard work for eligible homeowners. Homes are selected based on demonstrated need, and projects are assigned to ensure volunteers can complete meaningful work in a single day.

    • Home Modification Repair Program: An ongoing program providing home modification and repair services, funded by the Town of Firestone and a grant from the Weld County CDBG Program. Eligibility is based on specific income and residency requirements, ensuring that homeowners who meet the criteria can receive the appropriate support.

These programs are designed to help residents maintain safe, functional, and well-maintained homes while fostering community engagement and support.
