Community Grants to Organizations
Annually, the Board of Trustees provides a way for qualifying community organizations to receive a grant from the Town of Firestone for financial support of projects, programs, and events that provide a public benefit for the Town of Firestone and its residents.

The Board of Trustees shall establish grant appropriations annually, subject to the availability of funds as part of the budget approval process. Grant applications must be submitted each year to be considered for funding. The Town Clerk's Office will review all requests and submit them to the Board of Trustees for review during the budget review process in the fall. If requested, during the budget review process, applicants may be invited to give a brief presentation about their request. Grant recipients will be notified by December 31 of their award for the following year.
Eligibility is restricted to applicants who are:
- Recognized community service organizations, organized and federally designated for tax purposes as non-profit corporations;
- Chartered chapters of state or national lodges or service organizations that engage in charitable or community service activities; or
- Public schools that serve Firestone residents.
The applicant must also demonstrate that the program, event, or activity being funded by the grant will satisfy the following criteria:
- Provides a benefit to Town of Firestone residents;
- Contributes positively to the recognition and image of the Town of Firestone;
- Will be open to the general public and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic under state or federal law;
- Will not be used for political or religious purposes; and
- If the event is a fundraising event, the proceeds from the fundraising activity will support programs, services, or events for residents of the Town of Firestone.
Process
- To be considered for funding, grant applications must be submitted each year for the following year's grant.
- Applications will be available online. If needed, for accessibility concerns, please coordinate with the Town Clerk's Office to submit a paper application.
- During the budget review process, applicants may be invited to give a brief presentation to the Board of Trustees about their request.
- The Board of Trustees will review the application materials and make a determination by approving the following year's budget.
- Grant recipients will be notified by December 31 of their award for the following year.
