The Forestry Division aims to preserve and perpetuate one of the community’s most valuable natural resources and assets, its urban forest of trees on public property. This includes trees along streets, parks, and other Town properties.
In spring 2025, the Town of Firestone partnered with Davey Resource Group, Inc. to complete a comprehensive tree inventory. This project, led by the Town Forester, provides valuable data on the location, species, and condition of trees on Town-owned property. The inventory will help guide future tree care, planning, and planting efforts.

Firestone’s Parks & Forestry Divisions host free tree limb disposal events for residents each month, June through October. Limbs must be 12" or less in diameter. Tree stumps and other yard waste are not accepted. 2026 dates will be announced in the spring.
Annually, in January, Firestone residents are invited to dispose of their Christmas trees. The trees cannot have decorations like lights, ornaments, or tinsel. At this event, only Christmas trees will be accepted.
COMING IN 2026! The Town of Firestone will host it's FIRST Arbor Day event in 2026. More information will be shared soon!
