Town Manager Recruitment Services RFP

The Town of Firestone, Colorado is seeking qualifications from experienced executive recruitment firms to support a comprehensive, professional, and community-focused search for our next Town Manager. The selected firm will partner with the Town Board of Trustees through all phases of the recruitment and selection process, ensuring a transparent, thorough, and equitable outcome.

Interim Town Manager Appointment 

During the meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the Board of Trustees approved an Appointment & Temporary Assignment Agreement to appoint Raelynn Ferrera as Interim Town Manager. To ensure continuity of operations and leadership within the organization, the Board found it necessary to appoint an Interim Town Manager while a recruitment process is conducted to fill the position permanently.

As Interim Town Manager, Ms. Ferrera will assume and perform all duties, responsibilities, functions, and authority of the Town Manager. 

Town Manager

The organizational structure of the Town of Firestone is modeled after the council-manager form of government. It is within the council-manager framework that the elected officials serve as the Town’s leaders and policy makers while the Town Manager is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees to carry out policy and ensure that all residents are being equitably served. As the chief operating and administrative officer of the Town, the Town Manager’s office strives to provide professional leadership in the administration and execution of policies set by the Board of Trustees and in the operations of the Town as a whole. Accordingly, the Board of Trustees and Town Manager work together in an effort to preserve a sustainable and prosperous community.

The Town Manager is appointed by the Board of Trustees as chief administrative officer of the Town, and is ultimately responsible for the enforcement of local laws, and the assurance of sound fiscal and operational practices of the Town.
